Chapter - 3
"Man's disobedience"

Now the snake was more crafty than any wild animal the YHWH had made. He said to the woman, "Did the YHWH really say, "You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?" Vejanajásh hayáh arum mikol jayat hasadéh Aser asáh YHWH vayomer el-ha'isháh af ki-amar YHWH lo tojelú mikol ets hagán.

And the woman said to the snake, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. Vatomer ha'isháh el-hanajásh miprí ets-hagán nojel.

But concerning the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, YHWH said: "You shall not eat of it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die." Umiperí ha'ets Aser betoj-hagán amar YHWH lo tojelú mimenu veló tige'ú bo pen temutún.

And the snake said unto the woman: "Ye shall not die. Vayomer hanajásh el-ha'isháh lo mot temutún.

For YHWH knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like mighty angels, distinguishing between good and evil". Ki yodea YHWH ki beyóm ajoljém miménu venifkejú eyneyjém vijeyitém ke' YHWH yod'ey tov vará.

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food and desirable to the eyes, and that it was a tree to behold, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also offered it to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Vatere ha'isháh ki tov ha'ets lema'ajal vejí ta'aváh-hu la'eynáyim venejmad ha'ets lehaskil vatikaj mipiryo vatojal vatiten gam-le'isháh imáh vayojal.

And the eyes of both of them were enlightened, and they realized that they were naked, having been stripped of the onyx garments with which they had been created, and they saw their shame. And they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves. Vatipakajnáh eyney shnéyhem vayede'ú ki eyrumim jem vayitperú aleh te'enáh vaya'asú lajem jagorot.

They heard the voice of the Word of YHWH walking through the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and the man and his wife hid from the presence of YHWH among the trees of the garden. Vayishme'ú et-kol YHWH mithalej bagan le-ruaj hayom vayitjabé ha'adam ve'ishtó mipeney YHWH betoj ets hagán.

YHWH called to the man: "How are you?". Vayikrá YHWH el-ha'adam vayomer lo ayeka.

He answered: "I heard your voice as you walked in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and I hid myself". Vayomer et-kolejá shamati bagán va'irá ki-eyrom anoji va'ejavé.

YHWH said to him: "Who told you that you were naked, unless you had eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?". Vayómer mi higid lejá ki eyrom atáh hamín-ha'ets Aser tsivitija leviltí ajol-mimenu ajalta.

And the man said: "The woman whom you gave me as a companion, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate". Vayómer ha'adam ha'isháh Aser natátah imadí hi natnah-lí min-ha'éts va'ojel.

YHWH said to the woman: "What have you done?" And the woman said: "The snake seduced me with his cleverness and deceived me with his wickedness, and I ate". Vayómer YHWH la'isháh mah-zot asit vatómer ha'isháh hanajásh hishi'ani va'ojel.

And YHWH said to the snake: "Because you have done this, you shall be cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field. You shall walk on your belly, your legs shall be cut off, you shall shed your skin once in seven years, the poison of death shall be in your mouth, and you shall eat dust as long as you live. Vayómer YHWH el-hanajásh ki asita zot arur atáh mikol-habejemáh umikol jayat hasadéh al-gejonejá télej ve'afar tojal kol-yemey jayeja.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel". (TG: There will be healing for the seed of the woman, but for you, serpent, there will be no healing, for they will make peace at the end in the days of King Messiah). (P1. 👑 Messiah Yeshua would be born from the seed of a woman, (Luc: 1:34-35), (P2. 👑 The Messiah Yeshua would defeat Ha-satan 15b, (1 Yohanan 3:8), (P3. 👑 The Messiah Yeshua would suffer to reconcile men with YHWH. (1 Kefa: 3:18). Ve'eyvá asit beynejá uveyn ha'ishaáh uveyn zar'ajáh uveyn zar'ah ju yeshufeja rosh ve'atá teshufenu akev.

To the woman he said: "I will greatly multiply your pain in conception; in pain you will bring forth children; and your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you for good and for evil". El-ha'isháh amar harbáh arbéh yitsbonej vejeronej be'etsev teldi vanim ve'el ishej teshukatej vejú yimshol-baj.

And unto Adam he said: "Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed is Adamah (in thy labors) for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life". Ule-Adam amar ki shamata lekol ishteja vatojal min-ha'ets Aser tsivitijá lemor lo tojal mimenu aruráh ha'adamáh ba'avureja be'itsavón tojelenah kol yemey jayeja.

"She will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the grass of the field". Vekots vedardar tatsmiaj laj ve'ajaltá et-esev hasadeh.

"You will eat bread by the sweat of your brow until you return to Adam, for you were taken from it; you are dust, and to dust you will return". Beze'at apeja tojal lejem ad shuvejá el-ha'adamáh ki mimenah lukajta ki-afar atah ve'el-afar tashuv.

The man called his wife Havah (life), because she would become the mother of all living. Vayikrá ha'adam Shem ishtó Haváh ki hi hayetáh em kol-jay.

YHWH clothed Adam and his wife and covered them with skin. Vaya'ás YHWH le-Adam ule-ishtó kotnot or vayalbishem.

[Aliyah 5] YHWH said: Here it is, Adam was like one who could choose for himself good or evil, but now unless he reaches out his hand and takes also from the tree of life and eats, he will not live forever! Vayómer YHWH hen ha'adam hayáh ke'ajad mimenu lada'at tov vará ve'atá pen-yishlaj yado velakaj gam me'Ets haJayim ve'ajal vajay le'olam.

YHWH cast him out of the paradise of Eden to cultivate the adamah from which he had been taken. Vayeshaljejú YHWH miGan-Edén la'avod et ha'adamáh Aser lukaj misham.

So Aleph-Tav divorced Adam and made the Glory of his Shekinah dwell, from the beginning, to the east of the Garden of Eden, between the cherubim with a flaming sword that turned in all directions to guard the way to the tree of life. Vayegaresh et-ha'Adam vayashkén mikedem legan-Edén et-hakruvim ve'et lajat hajerev hamithapejet lishmor et-derej ets hajayim.
